The design should also follow the W3C standards and should take care that the layout doesn't deviated from this. Allow using unnecessary scripts and codes in your files, as most of the search engine crawlers are not comfortable with these types of scripts. Also avoid using flash effects in all the files. If you want flash to be displayed, it is recommendable to do it only with the index page. Dont try to use it every where.
